Motorola Atrix 2, Laptop Dock Refined for Mobile Workers

When Motorola Mobility CEO Sanjay Jha introduced the then Google Android 2.2 "Froyo"-based Motorola Atrix 4G smartphone at the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show last January, he wowed attendees by showing how the phone connects to a Motorola Lapdock to let users display their phone content on a larger screen and make it accessible via a Mozilla Firefox browser. Motorola would go on to feature that technology in its Photon 4G and Droid Bionic high-end handsets from Sprint and Verizon Wireless, respectively. Just as Motorola has rolled out successors to its popular Droid and Droid X phones, the handset maker has ushered in the Atrix 2 handset , which features some incremental and more significant improvements from the first version, including a better Lapdock. While the first version sported a modest 5MP, the Atrix 2 opts for the 8MP shutter, the new high-end standard. Moreover, multishot mode enables users to take six consecutive pictures. All that's missing is a telephoto lens! The video capabilities record and play back video in HD 1080p, trumping the 720p capture and 1080p playback of the original Atrix 4G. Also note the front-facing VGA lens for video chat.
