As his past catches up to his bounty, Vietnam becomes part of his sound combat, the devastating lives he’s surrounded by. At first I wasn’t unfaltering I could interpret this subject-matter as gothic (memorialize the direction I’m planning) — it seemed too up to the minute for that. Yet in these depictions of ferocity and demise, what endures (and what the smothered seem to be troublesome to rebuke) is about their desires, their loves. This sagacity of the hyperreal gives way to the magical valid as the spirituality of power and love are explored.
